1973
Don Edelman becomes PRESIDENT of RMS ELECTRONICS which goes public on the American Stock Exchange in 1980
1985
EDELMAN starts PDI COMMUNICATIONS INC: primary goal: the manufacturing of electronics for CATV-TELCO operators
1990
EDELMAN elected to the CABLE TV PIONEERS HALL OF FAME
2000-2001
PDI, recognizing the consolidation of CATV MARKETPLACE, forms PDI-SAT: its new DIRECTV-SATELLITE division.
In 2001 PDI becomes a DIRECTV MASTER SYSTEM Operator for Commercial Markets which includes MDU and HOSPITALITY.
2010
PDI signs with SAMSUNG to provide Hotel TVs to Hospitality marketplace
2014
PDI rebrands all proprietary products under its new STARBURST TECHNOLOGIES private label
2016
STARBURST Mounting product line is born to help supplement its SAMSUNG Hotel TV sales.
Our initial goal was to develop a top end product line to compete with incumbent brands such as PEERLESS and CHIEF but at a price point up to 50% less.
TODAY
Over 100,000 Hotel Rooms within our DIRECTV Management Portfolio. Samsung Hotel TV: Over $150 million sold! Our Starburst Technologies TV Mounts being used by most major Hotel Brands and in April 2020 launched on the Costco web site: our first venture into the consumer marketplace.
Our next goal for PDI HOSPITALITY is expansion of our e-commerce digital markets.
